GEO for Financial Advisors

Credential visibility, regulatory registration signals, and review presence for wealth managers and insurance brokers.

Trust decisions are moving to AI first

Choosing a financial advisor is a trust decision, and trust research increasingly starts with an AI tool rather than a Google search. With 60% of searches now ending without a click to a website, the AI's summary of an advisor – or its failure to mention them at all – shapes the shortlist before a prospective client ever visits a site.

An advisor with no individual profile page, no visible credentials, and no presence in the registries and review platforms AI tools reference is functionally invisible to that search, no matter how strong their book of business is offline.

What we check and fix for a financial advisor

Named-advisor profile pages. AI engines cite the person handling the account, not just the firm. An advisor without a dedicated profile page is one AI can't quote.
Credential and designation visibility. Designations like CFP need to be explained on the page in plain language, not just listed as letters after a name.
Regulatory registration signals. We make sure registration status is easy to find and verify – the kind of signal that supports an AI engine's confidence in recommending an advisor.
Client review presence. Review volume and recency on Google and other review platforms feed directly into how confidently an AI engine recommends an advisor.

What we've learned auditing financial advisors

We're a new agency, and this is a young field for everyone – but here's what's held up consistently across the audits we've run so far. No client names, just the pattern.

Designation acronyms alone don't drive AI citations. CFP, CIM, and similar credentials mean little to an AI engine unless the surrounding page explains what the designation actually covers.
Individual profile pages outperform a single "our team" page. AI tools more consistently cite an advisor by name when that advisor has their own page.
Registration status is necessary but not sufficient. Being properly registered doesn't help AI visibility on its own – the page still needs readable content that explains the service.
